Lauro Pinto, Master’s degree student in Human Resources Management – University of Évora
‘‘’Two years ago, I was about to finish my master’s degree in Human Resources Management at the University of Évora.
With a shortage of job offers at the time, and the growing need to develop my personal and intellectual skills, the idea of an internship abroad seemed like the right challenge at the right time. Having chosen the country (Austria) and registered for the scholarship application, it was only a matter of time for the process to be successful. The Al Sud Consortium scholarship was on its way!’’. In addition to being a good starting point, this opportunity made it possible to ease the burden on my family’s monthly budget. My Erasmus experience gave me the chance to learn a new language and culture and more than that, it allowed me to enrich my professional curriculum. It opened doors to an ever-growing market with countless job offers in different areas, on a daily basis.
It’s been a year and a half since the internship to my current job and I couldn’t be happier than I am now. Thanks to this scholarship, my expectations and anxieties had a confidence boost, because the financial support was there and it became easier to focus on what was important.
Rita Silva, Undergraduate student in Biology – University of Algarve
“Thanks to the Erasmus + scholarship, I had the opportunity to do an internship at a seal research and rehabilitation centre in the Netherlands. It was a spectacular experience where I learned a lot not only about seals, but also about the country and its culture! I am very grateful for the support that was given to me and I hope that these programmes continue to exist so that more students can have the same experience as me. ”
